CADD Technician

This position is for an individual with thorough knowledge of AUTOCAD 2004 or higher and understands basic drafting techniques.

• Basic understanding of IT methods
• Able to work using AUTOCAD 2004 or higher to develop CADD documents from sketches prepared by designers

Above all else this individual must possess the desire to learn and advance themselves in our field of engineering. This individual must:

• Prepare 2 dimensional CADD drawings for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection (sprinkler systems), and be able to edit and modify background drawing files supplied by others for preparation of plans
• Type a minimum of 30 WPM in various text editors
• Do material equipment take-offs
• Calculate lengths and areas of non-uniform spaces
• Operate computer based plotters and printers

Individual shall possess the following skills:

• Full command of the English language both written and spoken

Education: Associate Degree in CADD or equivalent or minimum 2-years work experience as CADD technician.

Other considerations: Design experience in HVAC, plumbing or fire protection is desirable.

Compensation: $30,000 to $45,000 depending on experience. Full health care benefits plus retirement package.
